Neuro Stars

A weekly support group for young people

Big Hearts’ Neuro Stars is a weekly support group for young people who have a neurodivergent diagnosis or are in the process of diagnosis, and their parents or carers.

The programme offers a friendly, inclusive space and provides a relaxed, child-led environment where young people can play, explore, and take part at their own pace, with gentle one-to-one support available when needed.

Sessions aim to support young people in a calm and understanding way through a range of engaging activities, including messy play, arts and crafts and indoor and outdoor sports, led by our skilled team of youth workers.

Parents and carers have the opportunity to take some time for themselves in our adult group, where our experienced family support staff will help them to connect with others and offer tailored advice and information on a range of issues relevant to the group.

Neuro Stars may not be suitable for children who require a higher level of specialist or physical support, to ensure their own safety or the safety of others. We encourage families to discuss individual needs with our staff team so we can help determine whether the programme is the right fit.
