A free family-friendly event with a host of fun activities designed for kinship young people and their carers.

Kinship Care is one of the most common forms of care in Scotland. At Big Hearts, we’ve been championing Kinship Care for more than a decade: raising awareness of the unsung heroes that help children thrive, and offering families some practical and confidential support when needed. Find out more

We’re delighted to be opening our doors on Monday 19th October to long standing and new kinship care families in Scotland. This event is free to attend, advance booking is essential via Eventbrite.

Our Family Kinship Afternoon Drop-In is a great opportunity to end the October holidays in an informal setting with:
– leisure games, sport or arts & crafts,
– useful info on community services and activities from local kinship care experts,
– behind-the-scenes tour of the football stadium with Hearts’ record appearance holder Gary Mackay.

We would like to thank our partner organisations who will join us on the day, including: Barnardo’s, Circle, Cross Reach, Dads Rock, Move On, Passion4Fusion, The Action Group.

We look forward to a great day celebrating Kinship Care at Tynecastle Park! Book your event tickets today
