2023 Spring Activities: Engaging with Younger People

This Spring Big Hearts will continue to engage with young people, across various programmes, throughout the Easter school break.

Our Kinship Care project for younger people and their carers are off on an exciting tour of the Chocolatarium in Edinburgh. Where families will discover the magic of where chocolate comes from and create their very own dream chocolate bar!

Our ever-popular School’s Out! project will welcome up to 20 children referred to Big Hearts by local schools. Each day from 10th to 14th April, the group will be provided with a free hot meal and can take part in a range of exciting activities including baking, arts and crafts and outdoor games.

In addition, participants from our new Switching Play project will spend a morning at Wester Hailes Police Station, where they will clean vehicles as part of their volunteering module. This will be followed by a delicious lunch to celebrate the completion of their 5-week course!
