3rd Auld Reekie Cup at the Royal Burgess

Our charity is set to take on the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation in the third edition of the Auld Reekie Cup, an innovative ‘Hearts vs Hibs’ Golf Day.

On Thursday 9th October at the Royal Burgess Golfing Society, football legends and golf enthusiast from across the city will compete in a friendly texas scramble competition – with Big Hearts looking to retain the Auld Reekie trophy for a third year in a row! Gary Locke, Ryan McGowan, Eamonn Bannon, Scott Crabbe and Jim Brown joined Big Hearts competitors in previous years.

This special day aims to raise awareness of the community work from Big Hearts Community Trust and the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation, and particularly highlight their commitment to positive mental health ahead of the World Mental Heath Day on 10th October.

This year’s Auld Reekie is sponsored by Hearts Standard and the Hibs Observer, with free membership available to guests.

Registrations are open to join the Big Hearts’ side: £600 fee for 4 players; or 3 players to be completed by a Hearts Legend. This includes breakfast rolls, drink reception, 2-course lunch on site and networking with business & football partners. Please contact events@bighearts.org.uk or call 0738 701 9852.
