Diageo show their big hearts at whisky fundraising dinner

Big Hearts is delighted to reveal the fantastic support received by the global company Diageo.

Over 100 guests enjoyed a whisky themed evening at Diageo’s facilities in Edinburgh Park, as part of a fundraiser to support Big Hearts’ work in the community.

The event included a 3-course meal paired with a whisky selection introduced by Diageo’s master blenders as well as a raffle and a silent auction – with all proceeds going to the Tynecastle based charity.

An outstanding £13,380.00 were raised on the night, which will allow Big Hearts to continue their support to local individuals and families at risk of social isolation, including vulnerable older people, young people living in kinship care and school pupils from various backgrounds.

Big Hearts’ General Manager Craig Wilson said:
We are amazed by the outstanding amount raised and would like to thank all the team at Diageo for their efforts in making the event a success. We know there are many challenges associated with social isolation in our community and these funds will go a long way in helping us deliver meaningful support, including providing crisis grants to families in need or organising social activities for isolated children during the school holidays.”
