Tynecastle Foodbank Collection – Sunday 20th October, 10AM – 12:30PM

Our annual foodbank collection in aid of Community One Stop Shop, the local foodbank in Broomhouse, will take place on Sunday 20th October prior to the game Hearts vs Rangers.

Big Hearts, Jambos Kickback and Heart of Midlothian are once again joining forces to collect donations of non-perishable food items on the day.

The main drop-off point will be at the Foundation Plaza (McLeod Street) where Big Hearts Volunteers will be on hand from 10:30am until kick-off at 12:15pm. Items urgently needed: tinned meals (stew, chilli, meatballs…), tins of vegetables, tins of meat or fish, UHT or powdered milk, rice, cereals, soups and other long shelf life products.

We encourage all Hearts fans to get involved and help hundreds of local families who will struggle to get essential food supplies during the winter. The Community One Stop Shop feeds an average of 400 people every month, and a significant increase is expected over the festive season and well into the New Year.

Thanks to Jambos Kickback, who are covering all service fees, Hearts supporters can also donate online on this link until 3rd November. This means 100% of every pound raised will enable the foodbank to buy additional supplies including fresh fruits, bread and toiletries.

Any donations will make such a difference tolocal families in crisis when comes Christmas time. A huge thank you in advance for your support!
