Our annual foodbank collection in aid of Community One Stop Shop, the local food bank in Broomhouse, will take place prior to the Hearts vs Rangers game on Saturday 1st October.
Big Hearts, Jambos Kickback and Heart of Midlothian FC will once again join forces and collect donations of non-perishable food items on the day.
The main drop-off points will be at the Foundation Plaza (McLeod Street) and Wheatfield Street (turnstiles). Big Hearts and Community One Stop Shop Volunteers will be on hand from 11am until kick-off at 12.30pm. Items urgently needed: UHT milk, tinned vegetables, tinned ham/tuna, tinned fruits, puddings (custard, rice etc), coffee, tea and biscuits.
We would encourage all Hearts fans to get involved to help hundreds of local families who will struggle to get essential food supplies over the coming months. Community One Stop Shop feeds an average of 400 people every month, and a significant increase is expected over the winter period and well into the new year.

“The support we have received from the Hearts community over the past few years has been fantastic! Come rain or shine, Hearts fans have turned up with bags of food and kindness to the benefit of our clients.
Between the cost-of-living crisis and increasing energy bills, our clients are facing a harsh Winter. On 1st October, Big Hearts and Community One Stop Teams will, once again, be stationed at Tynecastle Stadium ready to receive your donations at the 2022 annual food drive. Your donations and support will go directly to those who need it most in our community and will allow us to direct our resources towards our fuel bank and advice services.”
Thanks to Jambos Kickback, who are covering all service fees, Hearts supporters can also donate online on this link until 7th October. This means 100% of every pound raised will enable the foodbank to buy additional supplies including fresh fruits and bread.
