Foodbank Collection a Huge Success

We are delighted to confirm that Saturday’s Food-Bank collection was a huge success.

In total over 500 donations were received at our collection point with Hearts’ fans of all ages getting involved. Our delivery driver even had to arrange a separate collection with his van deemed not big enough!

The food and supplies collected will now be distributed to those who need it most through our partners at the Community One Stop Shop who operate the Broomhouse Food bank.

Carol Swan, the Manager of COSS said:

“We are overwhelmed with the donations from the Food Drive that was held prior to the Hearts vs Motherwell game.  At this time of the year the food bank gets very busy with lots of low income families in crisis. This collection will make a massive difference to our project so we want to say thank you so much to all the fans who donated.”

Big Hearts also wishes to thank everyone who supported the collection and to the group of fantastic Big Hearts Supporters who helped us by volunteering on the day.
