Saturday at the game Hearts v Dundee United, we invite supporters to join Big Hearts in celebrating the resilience of young people from minority backgrounds within our local community!
* From 2pm, pre-match activities for the whole family:
- Free face painting – (Foundation Plaza and Gorgie concourse)
- Performance of the Tynecastle High Pipe Band (Foundation Plaza)
- Distribution of free Big Hearts merchandise (Wheatfield and Gorgie concourses, Foundation Plaza)
- Meet Jock the Jambo – (Foundation Plaza)
- Get your photo taken with one of our special Big Hearts Day photo frames
Don’t forget to share your photos with us on the day, using the hashtag #BigHeartsDay
Big Hearts Volunteers will be on hand to share information about our work and collect donations from fans (cash welcome). Fundraising opportunities will also be available throughout Heart’s hospitality suites.
* From 2.15pm on Hearts TV: Fans watching the game from home will have the opportunity to find out more about Big Hearts’ T.E.A.M programme.
* On the pitch: Hearts’ First Team squad will be wearing a 2022/23 Home Kit with a Big Hearts logo taking pride of place on the front. These match worn shirts will be available via our online auction which will open at kick-off on this link.
Big Hearts Day is an extra special day for 4 of our charity’s T.E.A.M participants, who have been given the opportunity to be matchday mascots – each walking onto the pitch with their favourite player! Thank you to our Big Hearts Day mascot sponsors – The North British Distillery and DPS Group.

For this 7th Big Hearts Day, we are shining the spotlight on our T.E.A.M programme, which offers the opportunity for young people from minority backgrounds and low-income families to build new friendships, increase their physical activity and grow in confidence whilst becoming part of a diverse community.

Big Hearts currently support 15 young people a week at our T.E.A.M programme and the money raised on Big Hearts Day will allow us to help even more families within the local community!
